Recently, Kelley Blue Book's KBB.com noted that the 2018 BMW X4 features coupe styling, hatchback utility and an SUV's ride-height, making it a unique, fun-to-drive vehicle. The reviewer noted that, while it offers the practicality of cargo space and all-wheel drive, it also delivers all of the appeal and envying looks one expects of a European luxury vehicle.

KBB.com's review pointed out that the 2018 BMW X4 teams the athletic driving of a sedan with the functional utility of an SUV. The base X4 xDrive28i model is propelled by a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that produces 240 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, while the X4 M40i model offers a 3.0-liter turbocharged 6-cylinder engine that generates 355 horsepower and 343 pound-feet of torque. Both engines come teamed to an 8-speed automatic transmission, with four drive modes that match road conditions and your particular driving style.

Standard features include all-wheel drive, Hill Descent Control, Driving Dynamics Control, , dynamic cruise control, rear parking assist, rearview camera, power front seats, moonroof, automatic climate control, and universal garage-door opener. The audio system includes nine speakers and the state-of-the-art iDrive system that gives you access to your entertainment, navigation and communications.
