BMW recently unveiled the most recent iteration of the 2 Series, which is features the latest generation of the BMW TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder inline engines that pair with specifically tuned suspension and chassis. In the United States, the new BMW 2 Series will be offered in Coupe and Convertible 230i and M240i models.

The 230i model features a 4-cylinder engine that creates 248 horsepower, while the M240i M Performance model offers a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder engine that produces 335 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. Both motors are matched to an 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission that allows the driver to use shift paddles next to the steering wheel to change gears themselves, while also offering smooth automatic gear changes. A 6-speed manual transmission is also available for the 230i Coupe and M240i models.

Both Coupe and Convertible models offer available xDrive, BMW's intelligent all-wheel drive system, advanced suspension technology, nearly perfect weight distribution and a low center of gravity. These features all allow drivers to safely enjoy an engaging driving experience, even on wet roads.

The next-generation 2 Series will be made available as part of a new model introduction later this summer. To speak with a member of our team, contact BMW of Columbia.
