BMW Introduces the Concept X7 iPerformance Vehicle

September 13th, 2017 by

BMW recently presented the BMW Concept X7 iPerformance in Frankfurt, Germany at the IAA Cars 2017 show, showcasing a new model concept for the luxury segment that also represents the company's newest design vision.

The Concept is blessed with both a well-designed exterior and a comfortable, roomy cabin, offering a subtle atmosphere of sophistication. With such interior appointments as a panoramic sunroof, three rows of seating and BMW Connected technology, the Concept redefines the very nature of the Sports Activity Vehicle.

The iPerformance badge tells the world that the Concept features innovative BMW eDrive technology that teams with a BMW TwinPower Turbo gasoline engine to provide a plug-in hybrid powertrain that delivers efficient, dynamic driving in all situations — even running with zero local emissions.

In a press release, Adrian van Hooydonk, Senior Vice President BMW Group Design, explained, "The Concept introduces the BMW Sports Activity Vehicle DNA into the luxury segment. The new BMW design language employs just a few, extremely precise lines and subtle surface-work to raise the bar in terms of presence and prestige. The BMW Concept X7 iPerformance has a luxurious and sophisticated feel to it, thanks to its understated use of forms and incredibly precise details."

We're excited about the Concept X7 iPerformance vehicle's debut, as it provides us with an idea of what's to come with the production model that will debut in 2018.
