Whether you’re cruising around town or you’re adventrung on your next roadtrip, the BMW Charging program is here to make sure you’re never stressed about plugging in. Here are your three charging options when driving an electric vehicle:

Level One Charging

This type of charging occurs when you plug your vehicle into a standard 120V outlet. A 120V outlet is considered your standard outlet, and can be found virtually anywhere where there is electricity. Plug your EV into this type of outlet and it will deliver about four miles of driving range per hour of charging.

Level Two Charging

Level two charging occurs when you plug into a 240V outlet. These types of chargers can be installed by a professional at home for faster charging, or found at public charging stations.

The BMW Wallbox is a Level Two charger that can deliver a constant 9.6 kW of power and will charge your vehicle while you sleep. Featuring a weatherproof design, this home BMW charging station can be installed both indoors and outdoors and can charge your electric BMW from 0% to full in about 12 hours.

DC Fast Charging

This type of charging is found at public charging stations and can deliver up to 108 miles of driving range in as little as 10 minutes.
